I began practicing yoga in 2011 as a way to become physically fit, but quickly discovered the benefits for my mind and spirit as well. I strive to incorporate the practice and teachings of yoga into my daily life, and encourage my students to relax and tune into their own bodies, to create a very mindful and personal experience.
I completed my 200-hour teacher training with the Boston Yoga School in March of 2016, at Orleans Yoga, studying with Ame Wren, Petra Ledkovsky van Aarem, Brenna Matthews, Kevin Courtney, Chip Hartranft, Terry Coburn, and Zachery Dacuk.
In October of 2020, I received an additional 300-hour certification from the Summers School of Yin Yoga with Josh Summers and Terry Coburn, studying Yin Yoga, Functional Yang Yoga, Meditation and Traditional Chinese Medicine. This training spanned over the course of three years and it included a seven-day silent retreat at Spirit Fire in Leyden, MA. In October of 2023, I completed another 300-hour certification in Yoga Therapy with Tias & Surya Little, of Prajna Yoga, in Santa Fe, NM, which included a certification to teach SATYA (Somatic Awareness Training for Yoga Attunement), as well as, a Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Course with Janet Curry, MA, MSt, LPC. I have also completed trainings with Bernie Clarke, Paul Grilley, and Sarah & Ty Powers.
I have recently added qigong to my daily home practice. I have been practicing qigong online with Terry Coburn for a few years now. I have also participated in a couple of weekend workshops at Kripalu and some time online studying qigong and meditation with Master Robert Peng, as well as, many qigong workshops with Daniel Orlansky.
I still believe my yoga journey has only just begun, and I am constantly striving to learn more through trainings, books and especially from my students.
