Hi, my name is Julie Hennessy, and I've lived on Cape Cod since 1986. I grew up in western Mass, but my family traveled to the Cape for every summer vacation. It is my love of the ocean that brought me back here to find a career as a letter carrier in the Hyannis area. I live in Centerville with my husband Bob. I have been blessed with two amazing sons, Tom and Joe & wife Soran, and two amazing stepsons, Matt and Drew & wife Ashley.
I have been practicing yoga since 2011, and teaching since 2016. The first yoga class I ever took was at a gym, and I didn't know what to expect. It was the most difficult "exercise" class I had ever taken, and every muscle in my body ached, but I knew I wanted more. After about 5 years of practicing yoga 3-4 times a week, I decided to deepen my practice by enrolling in a 200 hour yoga teacher training with Boston Yoga School. One of the things they stressed in the training was to always be a student and to never stop learning, which I have strived to do in my yoga journey. I just recently retired from the USPS, after 35 and a half years of delivering mail, and in my spare time I love to explore the Cape with my husband, who is my biggest fan!
I teach Slow Flow, Yin and Restorative classes throughout the Cape, as a way to allow people to slow down from their daily lives and really tune into what they are feeling in their bodies.
I found Beautycounter back in 2017, and fell in love with the way the products worked, but also their mission, "to get safer products into the hands of everyone." I became a consultant with them mainly for the discount (who can blame me?), but I also love the personal connections it brings into my life.
